Steam svcks, steam fans have started to realize that, and that's why people complains about this but nobody complained about skyrim. But yeah I agree, they should have included the full game on the disc.

Some people like to have the hard copy to display with the rest of their games. That's the only real reason I can think of.

People complain about Steam svcking? I've been using it for years, and I have to say...I can't really think of any complaints about it.

At least it is better than what MGSV did with only including a Steam installer. If I am only getting a Steam installer on a DVD, then why are they even bothering with the DVD? Just give a piece of paper with instructions on how to download Steam and install the game. Saves them more money and saves me from having to throw out a completely useless DVD.

If I was stuck in some rural area with lousy internet, then I would be getting a console for my next game and I strongly suggest that everyone that is in this situation to do so right now. Consoles might pull this crap eventually, but it won't happen for at least a few years. Although, players can now download the game onto their console.
