P.s.
Does this even work? I mean if the icloud save is corrupted, doesn't it replace your local file with the corrupted and leave you with 2 devices that both hve the same corrupted file?
I haven't got an iDevice to play with, but is there a way to manage files saved in your iCloud? Can you just open your iCloud account and download copies of the .sav files to a computer? That would be far easier then shuffling them back and forth between devices.
From what I can tell, new vaults give one special lunchbox, from one of the very first easy objectives. It seems guaranteed to be a legendary item. Possibly even an extra good legendary item. I've started over a few times, usually get a single 20+ weapon, and never get another weapon that good ever again.
You aren't guaranteed anything great from lunch boxes, it's all random. It has been since the beginning. You can't cheer when you get something great, and complain when you don't. Either accept that it's a risk/reward type deal... or carry on to the multitude of other game apps out there.
The lunch boxes guarantee "Rare or better", but never mention 500 Caps is considered "rare or better".
In context, I would see "rare" as an item and not Caps.
Yes, this happened since day one, so I do not spend real money so far.
Another misleading is the Mr Handy, It is mentioned "collect caps and items" from wasteland but it only collect caps.
It's been over a month since I've collected a single legendary item. To put things in perspective, I don't buy lunchboxes, but I am a pretty consistent player who works hard to achieve objectives. I get my fair share of lunchboxes.
It's just crap. All crap.
If it is indeed completely random like you say, the ratio wouldn't be so terribly skewed in one direction.
It's a stacked deck of cards, it's not random.
Think it might be that the devs have tuned the game, based on obsessed people who churn out objectives all day, or buy lots of boxes. Those people end up with an insane amount of top loot, breaking game balance. In addressing that, regular players end up getting screwed. See this a lot with online games. Devs often worry too much about the extreme players. People who spend 10x as much time or money, but in so doing, they lose 100x as many regular players, by making the game less enjoyable.
