Pretty sure she got killed out there in the wilds. I've taken a new companion, swordchick from the companions. Tried sleeping in the one bed in my house and it says owned. So is she taking it or is Lydia still alive and trapped somewhere?

That bed is always owned. It's just reserved for companions, although I've never seen one sleep.

They don't sleep. They don't eat. I think they're addicts.

actually they do eat. the only thing that damn lydia does is sit in my bedroom and eat all of my bread. walking into my whiterun house is getting very annoying because first thing i hear every time is her chomping on a loaf of bread like a horse.

Yeah, Lydia and I got separated during my companion rite but she just went back to the house. Unless you see her killed, she should be around somewhere.
