Lydia is Hot, but boy is she stupid!

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 2:14 am

I was in a dungeon with my cupcake Lydia and the only way to get to the treasure was to not walk over pressure plates that triggered loads of traps. These were not the simple fire ones, either. We were on a narrow path with one of those swinging spiked gates that knocks you 50 feet to the left or right.

I could not find a way to disarm them (maybe I am missing something?), so I had to tell her to stay put.

What a pain... the end of the dungeon was not very close, so I had to go in an find her after defeating the baddie on my own.

This ever happen to you guys?

How can you possibly find her hot? Look at how she stands, walks, and runs. Like an orangutang.

I have the light footed perk, making its nearly impossible to trigger pressure plates etc (there are exceptions on different traps), but when I take any NPC with me - forget it.
My cupcake Lydia, though, is staying put in my house in Whiterun - but she simply is not able to sit still on her chair since patch 1.2 (Xbox).... or maybe it's because I've given her too much.. ehh... >_>

OK, her face is pretty. Next time I get a chance I will take off her armor and see what she looks like.

I don't care how she runs in armor... most women would not be able to move in a sixy way with plate on.

I had to fight the boss for the crown of winterhold and after first making her wait all the way back by the claw door so she wont get killed, she still managed to run in and die so what I did is part ways with her then I went and killed the boss and after it was all said and done went to the hold and had her follow me again. I'm finding this part ways feature useful on so many levels.

This one time I was in a dungeon with my companion and there was a trap when you walked up the stairs you stepped on a plate and huge wood log hit you knocking you back. Even though I didn't noticed the plate I managed to avoid being hit by log. My companion on the other hand didn't and got knocked back. The wood log was pulled back to its starting position and my companion stood up to follow me up the stairs when he once again stepped on a plate and got knocked back once more. Happened three time until he somehow managed to avoid the trap.

And I was just standing there LMAO :D

Lydia is only good for NASA space program. She would save a lot of money for the agency.

Most followers are.. Stupid I mean. If they are not running over traps, they are blocking your path.

Conjuration is epic but it can get extremely frustrating sometimes. Know what I mean?

Funny video...

I have tried everything, too. Moving in a crouch, pointing here to specifically where I wanted her to stand, etc. Nothing works.

I am on a PC, and I did not want to create a duplicate of her with one of the console commands, so all I could do was use the player.moveto to get to her point in the dungeon. And just to solidify my opinion, the first thing she says is her usual, "Huh?" grunt.

I just wanted to have six with her right there and then.

Yes I held off marriage till they fixed her. But I finally gave into the desires of a Dark Elf mage. I still do the horizontal mambo with Lydia even tho she will not let me marry her. My little sweet naive Elf just thinks I went on a adventure.. Which in a way she is correct..

But yes It is a good think she is in fully chanted Dadric/dragon armor with absorb health on her legendary ebony axe or she would get killed so fast. My personal favorite is when I am sneaking around to kill with arrows. But as soon as I shoot one she charges in.. I am like "WTF" wait and let me shoot a few more then you can go charging in when there is only one left. I also love the Let me at em attitude she has with the hole stand back while she just steps in front of me..

It's all fun in games until someone takes a arrow to the knee...

yup, Lydia is hot and I want to marry her. Yup, she is a dumb as a box of rocks. I have had to reload many times so that she is not dead.

I have found that all companion characters are this stupid. i would like to be able to have them do more than "stand over here".

I'd guess that a "follow my footsteps" feature would be very useful. Or a "follow my pointer".

Yeah. Definitely reminds me of having Veronica in tow: the " Argh!" has just been replaced with " Argh!" but it's still the same thing! Shame my character usually ends up getting injured in the process, though.

i cranked my male Nords weight up to max an Lydia is still bigger than him :ooo:

also "baby got back" as sir mixalot would say...her ass in her default armor is so big it should have its own fast travel marker...

It's strange as AI can see trap triggers: they even warn you about them.

I don't know the way she says things bugs me. The way she says "I'm sworn to carry your burdens" just sounds like shes being forced by the jarl to quest with me and she has better people to meet and more important things to do. Am I the only one? Like she would prefer to be elsewhere. Then when i hear "I will protect you with my life" time to part ways cuz shes about to die in the next room.
