I started a new game and finished the quest dragon rising - I cant buy the house in whiterun from provencii and lydia does not give her normal dialogue - she instead only quotes the throw voice shout - i.e. she says stuff like "hey melon head" lol, anyone else have this bug . My old playthrough does not have this issue - any ideas on how to fix it, specifically house to buy the house in whiterun using the console? Lydia just keeps saying crazy stuff like "hey skeever butt" lol, not sure if this was an intentional thing..............

Maybe she was married to Jeff Dunham sometime? Never heard of this before, but I have to say it sounds utterly hilarious
