I did see those too :) The rainbow bird is cool. If you want some critique... I think the puddlemonkey grunt would look better without his shirt... but that's just my opinion... not that I'm into anything weird like that...

I think you may be right about the puddlemonkey. I'll see what I can do about it ;)

Thank you for the suggestion!

Will be definitely be watching this. Good work!

Great :biglaugh:

Any Progress? :D

Nothing major to report ATM, just finished getting through a week of midterms. I only have a few weeks before finals (strange school schedule :P)

BUt, I may get around to grabbing some in-game screenshots sometime.

UPDATE

I've burned out temporarily on landscaping (I hope to get back into the mood again soon). But I've been having fun with nifskope and a little blender. I've mainly been working on a few creatures, but I've also begun creating some more palms to compliment the wonderful one which zackg created for me. However, here is the brunt of my update: A new creature unique to Azura's Isles (name is pending, probably, I'll come up with something creative later, don't have time now :P).

http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr256/ericthered1090/Lyithdonea/Peacock1.jpg

I had a lot of fun making this guy. There will most likely be a few variations in the final release. However, this is standard/male form. Later.

-Melchior Dahrk

edit: don't mind the texture seams. I'll sort those out later :)

edit2: I've considered removing the tail and placing a small plume of feathers. What do you think?

You have really nice and extravagant ideas, I strongly suggest you learn Blender, I smell some talent in 3D-modelling!!! ;)

EDIT: Oops, I just read you're yet on your way with Blender, well then keep it up!!! :)

Hey, that's one very awesome peacock! I say keep the tail, but then again, who knows how will you make the plum of feathers look ^^ I'd make both if I were you, and if you still like both and can't decide yo ucan have some variation in that as well :)

very very nice, keep up :goodjob:

Thank you TDW. I am slowly learning the way of simple 3d modeling. I am considering making some rock meshes (similar to some of those you've made). To compliment the diverse scenery.

I'm going to see what variations I can come up with. Male/Female, young/queen, tail/tailess, plume/plumeless ... etc.

If I come up with some stuff I like then I'll post it here.

Later all

Actually it's lidicus' wonderful Raptor mesh (I removed the head and added some upholstery to the base creature :))

Glad you like it!

Question, what is the general consensus on whether or not it would be reasonable to have this mod be dependant on Children of Morrowind?

Personally, I would like to add more life to the isles by adding children, infants, etc. To me it would make the isles more believable. Then they could also be tied into quests.

Does this sound like a good idea? I really don't know how many people use COM.

Just my personal opinion, but I'd have to say no. However an add-on patch would be wonderful. I don't use CoM, but a lot of people do. Making it necessary to have CoM would limit the number of people who would use it. The use of an add-on broadens the fan base. 8)

It would be better to make CoM support an option. Niche dependencies will probably turn a lot of people off to the mod.

Agreed that CoM should be optional.
Have you thought about adding in some NoM food/water? That's always handy for new landmasses for NoM players, and adds some new things even if the player is not using NoM.

Glad to see the progress is coming along!

Have you decided to use your Werecreature meshes here, then? ^_^ And if so, what ones? Personally I fell in love with the Werecrab and Werelion. Of course, they don't actually have to be werecreatures, though.

But good luck with the mod, until you leave us again :P

I may add some throughout. I always forget to do that with my mods since I don't use NOM myself. But I'll see what I can do.

I most likely will be using some werecreatures in here. I'll see where I can place them...

UPDATE

I've been working on Lyithdonea off and on for a while. But I am hoping that now that I am on my work term, I will be able to pick it up at a faster pace. Here's what I've been doing during my week off...

This is what a Velothian Slums should look like.

You are a magician with these old tile-sets my friend! It looks kind of like at some point that part of town was just forgotten in the rapid progression of the city itself.
