Is the M40 done yet? I wish I had the patience to learn how to use blender...

I'm working on my ACR right now. Sorry but there hasn't been much progress with this yet unfortunately. Hell I don't even think the model is completely unwrapped yet. Once I finish my ACR I'm going to finally finish the MP5K for my MP5 pack, which actually just needs a little bit of texture work and it will be done so that shouldn't take much time at all. There were a few bugs with that I needed to work out as well such as them not being added to the leveled lists properly. THEN I'll finish the M40. Sorry this whole project got thrown off track, but that's what happens when your computer dies for a good 6 months.

Bumping for an unfortunate update.

So it turns out that unwrapping the M40 has taken a bad turn. Every time I use the "normal unwrap" option in 3DSMax (which is VERY useful and handy), it crashes. It only does this on this model though for some reason, I used it all the time with the ACR and I had no problems. It might have been a little corrupted from my last computer.

I'll be honest too that as far as the weapon itself feels and goes, I'm not digging it too much. It's pretty high powered (60 base damage) but it's very slow and only holds 5 shots. The point I'm trying to make is that this is something that feels like it won't be done anytime soon. There are some more interesting projects I have to work on like the mini-flamer and possibly an SMG with similar functions to the ACR (customization and such).

Have you tried using the "Reset Xform" function on the model? That might fix the problem.

Noooooo! It is my favorite sniper rifle! Probably more so than the intervention, though less powerful.
I understand the dilemma though, so take your time, it's your mod. I just hope you don't have to do it all over. That would svck. Especially if you decide to scrap it... :(
