Mac Please? Don't Mean to Sound Pushy ;)

Post » Mon May 27, 2013 6:47 am

Hello, Bethesda, My cousin has been playing Morrowind for the past like 3 weeks and he says it's epic, so I thought I might try it. But there is one problemo. It's only for PC and I have a Mac. I was hoping you guys could make it for Mac please? I REALLY want to play this game, but I can't. If you see this PLEASE take up my request. Thanks

it might be cheaper just to get it for like $1 from Gamestop and find an old Xbox (original)
Pretty much easier that way than trying to get into how to make an old PC game work on a MAC.....I hope this helps to some extent.

If you have an Intel Mac, I'm pretty sure it plays with Bootcamp.

Well, the game is like 10 years old and they announced they are no longer working on Skyrim. I wish you the best. Maybe a neighbor has a Xbox 360 that will let you play it on their console...IDK

Thanks bruhh, and since they're done with Skyrim, they have time to make this for Mac (if they wanted to) :D

It's an Apple with an Intel CPU instead of the older Motorola's, and http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ is Bootcamp.

And maybe there are a lot of Mac users who want to play Morrowind on Steam but can't and then it does come out on Mac and they just got a lot more money!

You can use Wine for Mac but it usually more complicated than using bootcamp.

That is a good idea I used to have Wine for my Mac but I got rid of it because I never used it and it was just taking up space on my Mac

Mac owners have been playing using Bootcamp for years. I know because I used to hang out in the hardware forum. And as Rendang said Bootcamp is a simpler option, but go ahead and do as you please. Now you can leave Bethesda alone. :P

Ok thanks ;) I'll leave 'em alone but there is one thing. It's not my Mac. It's my parent's and they don't let me download anything I want whenever I want. There is like a 75% chance of them saying no. Then what if they say no?

If they say "no", there's no way your playing. It's going to take either Bootcamp or Linux/Wine. It would take a fair piece of BSG's time to reboot Morrowind and the return would be minimal when compared to that from Fallout 4 or TES 5.

Make sure you let them know that Bootcamp is an Apple product.
