Everything always says Windows. :/

I know they were initially released for the Mac but I can't remember if their are platform specific versions or not.

I dunno anything about macintosh, ...

but if you do a quick search on NMA's Fallout RPG Gameplay & Tech forum: http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/search.php

using the keywords: mac or macintosh. You get a number of hits.

I hope it helps. Cheers!

Lol I fought the guy standing right outside the temple and died.

Scorpions eventually killed me in the temple.

This game rocks. How do I unlock the door in the back of the temple?! >:o

I don't know which door you actually referring to, but there are 2 inaccessible doors.

Door 1:
Spoiler
This door is locked just open it with the lockpick skill. Press on skill button or right click on the door then choose the face icon to interact with the skillindex

Door 2:
Spoiler
This door requires you to set an explosive charge (found in a tall pot nearby) in front of it. You can set the timer on the explosives in your inventory and then drop it, or another way is to put it in an active item slot, leave the inventory window and use it from there; you'll then drop it automatically. Even with a puny Traps skill you can set the timer to the minimum of 10 seconds and run clear before the bomb goes off, whether you get the "explosive detonates prematurely" message or not.

Edit: I forgot to mention, watch out for traps!

got my vault suit, vault 13 flask, and am ready to go meet Vic (reference to Vic from A Boy and His Dog?).

i went east but it took me back to the cave entrance.

first time I went through I accidentally killed the arroyo guardian before the suit, then everyone attacked me in the village lol

bout the mouse, yes it is a mac thing. I have a left/right click wireless mouse at home, i'll probably end up downloading the game on my laptop (downloaded it here at work lol)

I didn't think they still made single button mouses :D

I also didn't realize GoG let you download things to multiple computers, but then I suppose they don't add any DRM so why not.

Most Apple branded mice are 2 button mice - Its just kinda hidden as its a unibody shell. If you turn on the Secondary click in System preferences, you'll probably be able to right click just as you normally would

I didn't get it at GoG, when I go into work tomorrow I'll let you know what site I got it from.

I'll check and see if that mouse has a secondary click option: its a g5 but like 2 - 3 years old. My Macbook Pro is 3-4 years old.

I may keep the game just on my work computer, so I don't have two different saves going on two different computers.

I started with Narg but am thinking about rolling my own, just so many damned skills I can't decide on TAGs and SPECIAL set up ;_;

Thinking of having a go with a typical Small Arms / Repair / Lockpick build but I'm not sure if Repair is worth it in this game.
Suggestions welcome!

With the Macbook Pro, you may be able to enable "Two-Finger" Tap as secondary click. Also holding CTRL and clicking should work

I'd Skip Repair. Its only useful for a few specific things. Speech is a better replacement.

Yeah I thought I had heard Repair wasn't nearly as useful as in FO3.

Guns, melee or diplomatic are a good idea. My next character will be a female evil jinxed sixappeal char. just to make the game more interesting. :hehe:

Anyways when I begin a new playthrough I usually create a sniper figure, something like this:

Initial stats: ST 5, PE 7, EN 4, CH 2, IN 7, AG 9, LK 7.

Traits: Gifted & Finesse. (Or instead of Gifted I choose Small Frame coz Gifted has a few drawbacks, so does any trade btw.)

Tag skills: Small Guns, Lockpick, Speech.

Whatever... It doesn't really matter what you choose coz the character influences your gameplay.
But I always put a bit of emphasis on a warrior kind of char. (melee/guns etc.) coz the Fallout world is a hard world to dwell in. :P

A couple years back I bought the Mac Play version off Amazon and it worked great with my black Macbook. I accidentally broke that laptop and had to get a new one with Leopard, and now it no longer works.

$20 Kensington 4 button+wheel mouse. Haven't used a stock Apple mouse in over a decade. :)
(I love their computers, but their mice just aren't that great. :D )
