Well, one of many since I've made several. Umad?
Nords make good anything.

Nords are my favorite race in TES and I think they are pure awesomeness.
I can't fathom playing Skyrim and not having at least a Nord char.
Most likely not going to. I never get deeply involved with any character. I basically make a half-decent backstory, play for some hours until I decide I wanna play something else and usually end up deleting that character.
Whenever I do make another character though, I can't justify not making a Nord. Being a Nord myself, I relate more to Nord characters.
Oh, and I always make Dragonborn characters because I love being one and I love shouts, and I hate how other races sound when shouting. Ever heard a lizard shout "fus ro dah"? Well, you don't wanna
Anyone can be a good anything if you put you mind to it and believe in yourself! Plus the super powers of love and friendship always save the day!
Anything in Skyrim can make a good anything. Seriously Races were basically stripped of nearly all meaningful differences in Skyrim. Must be all that in-breeding they did in the last 200 years since OB and MW.
I hate it actually. Some of my best Role-plays in MW were my Orc Bard, my Nord Mage, my Altmer Warrior and they were fun because they were difficult due to their races. It made for interesting backgrounds and great role-plays. In Skyrim picking a race is not much more than picking the look of your character, and that's about it.
Yep.
Make a successful Nord mage in, say, Morrowind or Oblivion, and then you can brag. It's possible, yes, but far more difficult than Skyrim.
I've had Breton "everything" in all games before Skyrim, for example. Spellsword, Mage, Battlemage, Knight, Rogue...the more difficult or unlikely the build the better the payoff.
As much as I love my hammer-wielding Bosmer in this game, he would be a lot harder to get started in past games.
Never played Morrowind and I did have two Nord mages in Oblivion. I mostly did warriors though and sometimes barbarians.
Didn't make many characters from the stock races though as I had around ten race mods.
IMO, Morrowind and everything before that can be the most aggravating--and at the same time, rewarding--because of the non-regenerating magic.
Going from being barely able to cast a single weak spell at level 1 and then running out of magic to being able to cast it when needed and have it be ten times better at level 10 was pretty rewarding.
Morrowind took leveled spell scaling away.
Oblivion got rid of limited magicka unless you play Atronach (which I do).
Skyrim kinda took everything else away.
Race is irrelevant in Skyrim, Nords are still boring.
