(Morrowind, a Detailed World)

Project: MaDW, short for Morrowind: a Detailed World is a mod project of mine I started years ago, which I am now reviving. The project is simple in scope, a landscape overhaul, that will add thousands of new objects to Morrowind's landscape, resurface the regions, and make Vvardenfell a more robust and interesting place.

Current and Future Plans: The original plan for my landscape overhaul was to go region by region, releasing individual mods for each. I would spiral into Vvardenfell, starting with the Sheogorad, then making my way to the Azura's Coast, Ascadian Isles, and so on. I will still follow this working model, with a few changes. My releases will likely be region based, working in the same order of regions as I mentioned, though I may end up splitting up some of the larger regions, such as the Azura's Coast, into multiple releases-later to be merged into full releases- along the way. I might also make individual modules for specific landmarks, such as cities, or places like the Foyada Mamea.

Compatibility, ect: In order to allow for easy compatibility with existing mods, I will be converting final releases into master files, so that one can easily make compatibility patches for specific mods. I will try to keep the areas compatible with as many mods as I can without patches, but I know they will likely be needed as I can't possibly account for every mod myself.

Later releases, in the Ashlands and Red Mountain regions for example, will likely require the non-pointy version of Mountainous Red Mountain. This is because before MRM was released, one of the original plans for my overhaul was to make Vvardenfell taller, though now since MRM has been released I will not need to do the bulk of this work myself.

For more specific info on the file structure of this, I will have a number of unique meshes grouped vanilla style, these may or may not end up in a BSA later. The mod will have two main files to load per-release, a "MaDW Data.esm", which will be independent of the mod, incase someone wants to use my meshes, and the main master for that region.

I will not be building in compatibility with Rebirth myself. Others will have to do so. Rebirth does it's own landscape changes and expands a lot of the cities so there is too much for be to account for myself.

I sugesst you remake the dagonfel town to better fit your landscape. the original dagonfel is so small, remake it at least 2 time size than the original one.

i 'd like to see a more completely remake of some regions. like the bloodmoon mod released by woli. not only landscape, but also settlement/town.

make dagonfell bigger, more buildings[new meshes]. more eyecandy. it's a ohno to see outdated settlement on a nice landscape.

@Sphinx, No. This is completely out of the scope of my mod. Settlements will remain mostly untouched. I don't like settlement expansion mods or redesign mods. If you want those there are plenty.

I'm not sure what you mean by squared, the landforms aren't very square. Maybe my cliff meshes give that impression though. The idea is that the Sheogorad is both on the Coast and subjected to a fair amount of wind so the rocks are supposed to look somewhat rounded. The cliffs have somewhat jagged transitions between cap and face, but that's to give the impression of layers of rock which were uncovered by wind.

For sure! I'm not sure if you can see in the screenshots and videos, but I've placed a decent amount of small mushroom pods in areas with vegetation, some kresh fiber, and I have flora growing on top of a fair amount of the grassed topped menhirs. Once I'm closer to done detailing the landscape, I'm going to make grass & seaweed plugins for the Sheogorad. I'll be sure to hand place a bit of the grass too so that it covers the tops of the grass capped rocks.

I find this all exiting because while I have made a significant amount of progress in the area I've worked in I'm still not even close to finished, there's lots more to come! :D

Nothing for this since around Christmas other than some rocks for the modular sea stack tileset done. There's another mod I'll have progress to show for soon though, keep an eye out. ;)
