Mage armor perk question

Post » Sun Feb 16, 2014 10:41 pm

I had a question about the mage armor perk.I currently use Morokei on my mage and was wanting to know if by using that mask does it cancel out the perk?and if it does is there another piece of gear for the head to use that's as good or better for a mage to use that wouldn't cancel out the perk?

Dragon Priest masks are considered armor and thus they cancel the effect from Mage Armor perk.

I'm sure there's a good circlet or hood you could use. It's a shame really because Morokei is a really nice mask.

I never wear the priest masks as I like being able to see my characters faces. But I would recommend enchanting your own gear to your liking.

The only items with an armor rating I know of that doesn't cancel out the Mage Armor perks are shields.

Yeah. Armor spells are just that bad. You might as well equip armor.
