One of my planned characters is a Breton mage, so naturally the COW is a good faction choice. But, I am also drawn to the companions for this character because A. It has Aela, a perfect companion and :hubbahubba: for him, and B. You gain a rather... unique ability in this faction, that you can only get there. So, my question for you guys is: have any of you taken this route, and, if so, is it viable. I also want to know if the other members recognize you as a fish out of water. Thanks! - Frank

They'll ask you to use melee weapons once in a while so have at least one all the time.
