Mage characters: once your enchanting is high enough to attach some devastating effects, do you prefer robes or regular clothing? Or a combination of both?

I have this dreaded feeling that the limited variations of robes will get very boring, very fast.

For a straight mage I like robes. For a nightblade I like clothes

I tend to go the other way and use armor once my enchanting is high enough. Perhaps one of these years I'll stick with robes.
