MagicEffectShader on objects

Hi!

Has anyone an idea or anyone ever heard of playing MagicEffects on objects, such as weapons or other objects?
I have already asked a well known and experienced modder from the Niftools forum. And in his opinion it should
absolutely be possible. (But I didn't want to bother him further as he is currently decoding nifs for Skyrim).

My idea would be to implement a flaming whip. The whip is arleady in the game. It is a boneweighted armor (gloves)
due to the idea of RGM (RGM Real Flails). Meanwhile I have spent days in experimenting with EffectShaders
(pme/pms) - unfortunately with no success.

The essential technical question is, why can an actor (player/npc/creature) be on fire?
Hence why not an object?

I would be very happy for any idea or hint.
