Magicka Help

Post » Mon Jan 06, 2014 10:41 pm

So I have a very vexing problem at the moment, my magicka seems to have dipped to an extremely low level and is constantly in red. Now I've already tried taking cure disease potions and going to the temple to get cured in whiterun, nothing seems to fix it, I'm wondering if it's some sort of bug that has possibly been addressed in the past?.

Are you a vampire?? If so, you either have to travel in the evening hours or get cured.

Sorry. There is a quest to get cured, that involves having a filled black soul gem, and then go to an inn and ask about rumors and that will start the quest to get cured in Morthal.

Welcome to the forums.

Did you check if you're a vampire like Ash said?

Well it doesn't say Vampirism or anything like that under my active spells under magicka... and I'm not taking any damage during the day.

Or just to be on the safe side, just for rumors at an inn. Once I had become a vampire, and there was nothing under the effects, or powers section, but I had it. It would not be listed under spells. See if you have a spell called drained health, I think that is what it is called, and still check for rumors. If none of that works, then try clearing your cache, and re-loading, or loading an earlier save as Personablaze said.

Yea doing that fixes it... only thing is it's a ways back haha. The closest point that I can notice it was when I was finishing up the mages guild quests and you have to fight that boss with the staff that drains your magicka, after that I believe it when I noticed the red magic... but it could have been even before that for all I know.

Morokei is the bosses name and he uses the Staff of Magnus which causes a negative affect on your magicka... doesn't show up on active spells either, that happened to be my last save point so I'm going to see if it goes away this time.

Maybe it bugged out during the quest to get the staff? (When the guy drains your magicka)

Try asking in the inns (Like Ash said) and if that doesn't work re-load a save.

EDIT- My first time being ninja'd xD
