He is not just the god of sorcery in Skyrim.
He is magic itself
If a character such as Magnus appears in Skyrim it is very big.
Bigger even than having Mannimarco in Oblivion (Yes I know. But thats level scalings fault.)

I mean, The Magnus.
The Greatest of all the Et'Ada, the one that first refuted the Convention of Lorkhan, his abandon of the Mundus leaving a hole that is the sun

This is big.

Depends on what you mean by "has always been said". Is it confirmed that Alduin fell to the acts of mortals? Maybe mortals referring to 'Dragonborn'?

I thought it was already big. I mean, The God of Time is in Skyrim, can't really be much bigger than that

The God of Magic being in Skyrim will only make things bigger.
