I haz a sad because my horsies is borken!

I've purchased horses from all the stables and for a while they were working all fine and showed as my characters horse and would stay put when dismounted. Now they don't show as my character's horse and all wander off the moment I dismount. So it's like I somhow unpurchased them, yet when I mount them I'm not stealing them. Anyone else having this issue or found a solution via the console?

More weirdness. Now when I ride stolen horses they actually stick around. They don't follow me, but they stay where parked.
