I apologise if this has been discussed elsewhere, I simply couldn't think of what to type in the search box.

So my question is, did one of the dcl's or an update remove the ability to skip to the main menu in the beginning? I most certainly used to do it all the time on my first two playthroughs but now that I have dlc's and what not I'm not able to. This is not a major thing (which makes me wonder, why would they do it?) but it is a bit tedious. Especially considering how often the game crashes.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Skip the main menu? Like how?

Skip to the main menu. You know how the Bethesda and Obsidian deals come up? Before all I had to see was the Bethesda one and I could skip straight to loading my game. Now I can't skip at all. I have to wait all the way to the 'Please Stand By' screen then the desert ranger shows up and 10 seconds later the menu shows up.

It seems now I have to wait until Obsidian pops up before I can skip to the menu. I used to only see Bethesda.

It can't be avoided, since the title drops and developer show-offs are just a sneaky load screen, much like elevators in Mass Effect 1.
Personally I rarely have to wait all the way to please wait. Usually that happens when I'm starting the game first time a day and I've been playing other games before that and thus cluttered my computer's memory.

I can get through them pretty fast even with all DLCs. It really isn't that big of a problem is it? You are only at the main menu once really.

Seriously though it's kind of rediculous that they seemed to change it. People who don't care who makes the games they buy still don't care and people like me already know without being forced to watch their logo screens. If it were like this when the game came out it wouldn't be as bad, but considering they had to have done it in an udate or something is really quite pathetic. MW2 was the best in this aspect, upon loading the game you could be playing in 10 seconds.

With fallout the game crashes quite often so this is a bit anoying.

I wasn't ever able to skip so... (also ps3)

In the beginning I could skip from obsidians logo and not watch please wait now I have to watch please wait as well (ps3 + dm, hh, owb and mercenary pack(for buying it half an year later than the release:D))

That happens to me too now. Since OWB (or maybe HH...). Takes maybe ~6 seconds for the actual main menu to pop up whilst the Ranger stares down at me, taunting.
