So recently Delphine has given me an ultimatum to kill Paarthunax.

But I like Paarthunax -- and I'm not going to kill him unless there's a REALLY good reason why I should.

Even though Delphine has a good argument on why he should die.

I remember hearing somewhere you get a shout that allows you to summon dragons.

I have a hunch this has to do with whether or not you kill Paarthunax.

I don't know what to doooo, lol.

What do you guys think?

I spared the old man, he was quite a cool dragon. And your potential dragon companion will be found in another dragon, not in Paarthunax.

You can't kill him. He's marked essential. You don't need to kill him anyways.
