Currently stuck trying to progress the main quest line with the following 2 quests seeming to conflict with one another:

• Joining The Stormcloaks - http://i.imgur.com/MOIC2.jpg
  
• Season Unending - http://i.imgur.com/0my2m.jpg

Basically I'm at the point where I'm trying to convince General Tullius and Ulfric to agree to a peace treaty while the dragons are assaulting the land.

Because I'm not a member of the Stormcloaks I assume, this is what happens.

Action: Speak with Ulfric
Result: "Speak with Galmar, you'll be going on a little errand with him."

Action: Speak with Galmar
Result: "I don't know how you convinced Ulfric to talk to the empire, worst than a waste of time if you ask me."

Is there some circular dependency here that is now blocking the entire main quest line from progressing?

If anyone knows a solution please post it here, preventing progression on the main quest line after investing 60 hours of game play is critical.

what is the fix besides reverting back 20 levels?

Yeah this is pretty frustrating.... Do I need to start over? I mean I am literally stuck with no more quest in my log. Accept these 2.
