So after three years of playing, I am finally getting into the main quest. I don't really want to hear about the story. Okay so I am assuming I will have to choose between the Blades and the Greybeards at some point yet I just realized I could go into Sky Haven Temple and recruit Blades already. So...


1. If I send my buddies to join the Blades will I lose access to them if I help the Greybeards?


2. Will they only use Blades gear after that?


3. What are the disadvantages and advantages to doing this? I got Mjoll, Rayya, and Lydia at Lakeview Manor and they are my favorites, because I lost Teldryn Sero. I still have Erik the Slayer and Vorstag to send though. Will this nerf them? They have great gear.

I never sided with the Blades, but I read once, that once your companions become Blades you lose access to them; and yes they will only wear Blades gear.
