Kind've at ends with my other thread 'so pleased' (which upon coming to post this thread I see has, coincidentally, been bumped).

Basically I was really enjoying FO3 at first, but somehow I just can't seem to get into it. I wanted to ask you all if there is anywhere within the game - a city or settlement etc - that has a large amount of quests? Somewhere I can really sink my teeth into. I just feel a little lost (also, for the first time in an open-world game, not really wanting to explore as it doesn't feel very rewarding, especially since my character is low level).

Any info you can give would be great. Have already completed Rivet City, though my impression was it didn't have many quests inside. Perhaps that is the largest amount you can find in one place though? I feel like I go somewhere that should be big with one or two quests and there's nothing - e.g Little Lamplight (though I have heard it ties into the main quest somewhat).

Maybe I'm expecting too much after New Vegas?

edit: have also done all of Megaton. This is the point when I was really enjoying the game, onto Rivet City. Then kind've felt like things were a bit flat. I understand that 3 is a game of more 'breadth' than 'depth' like New Vegas, I'm just wondering if I can expect to find any more 'meaty' bits I suppose.

Talk to someone? Megaton? There are many quests... Explore a little maybe. You can find stuff when you do that.

Talk to Moira in Megaton. Help her with her book. She gets you out in the world, but sends you to places a low level character can survive. If you complete the book, you can expect to gain 3 to 5 levels, if not more, just on that alone. Once that is done, you should be strong enough to go off into the rest of the world.

I have done all Megaton quests, also.
