Major Bug with NumPad keys!

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:41 am

I'm stuck in a major way! I paid for the pre-release and season pass and now I wish I had not. All of the numpad keys are displaying a message saying that they are "reserved" when I try to setup the controls. It might be hard to believe, but I'm left-handed and have been playing FPS games with the number pad for over 20 years now. There isn't much chance that I will decide to relearn how to play Fallout or FPS games in general with a new set of keys, so when will you guys be able to put out a patch to fix this?

It's my fault in a way; I normally do not buy games like this one until the "game of the year edition" comes out because of problems just like this one. I guess I should have stuck to that policy. This is a major let-down.

In the short term, a third-party program like Auto Hotkey may be the easiest answer. Skyrim had the same issue when it released, and they took a while to patch it. There was a mod for it pretty early on. It was really just a modified txt file, but the original file had to be extracted from the archived game files. I can't dig around until after midnight when the game unlocks, but I understand that the data format has changed, so I don't know how easily I can extract the necessary file.
