Major Lagmicrostuttering

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 4:00 pm

Hello, i'm having MAJOR issues with Skyrim. The input is extremely laggy(unresponsive) most of the time making combat near impossible and the game microstutters terribly.

These are my computer specs:

-Windows 7 64-bit

-quad-i5 @3Ghz

-ATI Radeon HD 7350 w/ 1GB of ram

-8GB DDr3 Ram

Can anyone offer any help or advice?

graphic/texture mods? Did this just start all of a sudden? You know what kind of framerates you are getting? Is Vsync on?

1). No

2). Just started playing the game? Yes

3). Not sure. I couldn't find the FPS counter commands(if it has one built-in).

4). I can't find the Vsync option in the games config files, so i'm not sure.

VSync is automatically locked on in the SkyrimPrefs.ini, so if you didn't make any changes to the file, it should still be locked, unless you set it otherwise in the Catalyst Control Center, of course.

To measure your fps, you must use a software like http://www.fraps.com/download.php.

Your graphics card is a bit short for this game; you should lower the settings from "high" (I suppose that's what the game chose at launch) to "medium" and maybe remove the high resolution packs.

what resolution do you play ???

try, 1024x768 - shadows disabled (skyrim options-> advanced-> detail -> shadow detail)

All other details medium. Water check-box: all disabled

Distant object detail: medium. (skyrim options-> advanced-> view distance -> distant object detail)

Vsync=off

------------

[ it's understandable you should have AA and AF disabled. Better disable it in your Ati control panel and in your skyrim options as well ]

AA=Antialiasing

AF=Anisotropic Filtering

-------------

How it plays now. ???
