Major Problem with Fallout 3

Post » Sat Aug 13, 2011 4:00 am

So I bought Fallout 3 off of steam and every time I open it I can start a new game and it plays the intro then once it gets to the birth scene it crashes at a random time. I've tried turning the graphics on the lowest possible settings and that didn't help. I know there isn't much to work with but it's all I have too, any suggestions at all will be taken gladly. Thanks :)

Almost forgot if you need to know the specs on my computer are: Intel Core i3 Clarkdale 3.02 Ghz Processor, ATI Radeon HD 4600 128-bit 1 Gb GDDR3, 4 Gb Crucial RAM, and 500 Gb I think Seagate Barracuda HDD. And I have Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

this may seem odd but in the birth scene you might need to crank the graphics up (especially in the launcher's "advanced..." section) that's what helped me when I had issues there but this was with an unpatched collector's edition so your mileage may vary.

Yea... I don't know. Do you mean like start a new game with low graphics and then pause during the birth scene? And what kind of troubles were you having like crashing like me or other troubles?
