[REQ] Make all quest items weightless

Post » Fri Apr 02, 2010 6:29 pm

There are far too many undroppable items in the game that use up your weight limit. I know there are a few mods out there that make them droppable but that's too risky in my book; too easy to accidentally sell or lose them and break quests. Making any item you can't drop weight 0 makes more sense in my opinion.

Anyone up for it?

What quest items have actual weight that counts against your limit?

Looting Camp Searchlight has about 10-15 weight in undroppable junk you can even be lumbered with after the quest finishes.

Do I just have a magical game that doesn't add these to inventoryweight? None of my quest items count, same as in FO3.

Took a look in FNVEdit at this. Any way of editing the ESM and then dump the edited entries in an ESP instead of saving the ESM?

Or am I just completely misunderstanding what people mean when they say these have weight?

So their weight doesn't get added to the total weight of your items then?

They shouldn't and don't as far as I understand. I keep seeing people complaining about it though so I have to wonder.

Oh, your quite right. I just dropped everything I could drop, they don't weigh anything, despite what the info screen says. I've got about 30 odd quest items stuck in my inventory with various weights and I'm at 0/280

So yeah...ignore this thread

Incidentally, quite an http://lh6.ggpht.com/_z1odMghQc7A/TNKEBic1z9I/AAAAAAAAAGk/YDJvTUXAUuU/s1152/ScreenShot21.jpg I'm lugging around with me.
