Make Body Parts Invisible when Wearing Armor?

Post » Sat Jun 08, 2013 11:26 am

Is it possible to make parts of the body go invisible when wearing armor? I have this armor mod I'm trying to work out, because it's missing a neck and I don't know how to model, so I'm just trying to make the neck disappear.

Or, if someone could tell me how to make my neck pitch black, that could work.

Thanks!

EDIT: I got it to work. The invisible part. Still, it would be helpful if someone could tell me either how to edit a model or tell me how to make skin black, if that's a possible thing to make happen when wearing a piece of armor.

hm, never done anything of the kind myself, but iirc armor can have an associated spell, so maybe you could have the spell put a shader on the npc or stg like that

Could you tell me how to do that? I've never really used the Creation Kit before. I just found this mod that is supposed to be full-body armor, but lacks gloves and a neck. The glove situation was easily remedied (I just use a pair of regular gloves), but the neck situation can only be fixed by making the helmet be classified as HEAD, making the neck invisible.

nah, sorry, shaders and spells are THE two things i don't have any clue about yet :-)

can't even guarantee it even works this way.

what i _can_ tell you though is:

you can select an enchantment in the armor tab.

and if you look at, like "ghost ability", it's basically some kind of spell applying a shader to an npc. stg like this.

or stg else which could be quite promising for what you want (but which i got even less clue about :-),

armor addons let you select "art objects", what's in the selection there also pretty much sounds like shaders.

but i'm pretty sure somebody else here can tell you stg a bit more conclusive than i can :-)
