Ketchup. Plain and simple

Alternatively, considering what is at your disposal... Take that corn and honey ham and mix it in with the cooked mac/cheese, place in a casserole dish, top with mashed taters, and top that with a generous amount of cheddar or monterey cheese, then bake. Spice it with some garlic, oregano, cayenne and black pepper.

Well jeez for a start don't eat mac and cheese outta box.

Make a white sauce with flour and milk and then add as much or little cheese as you want. And don't use American cheese, its nasty. Use cheddar or mexicana. :) Or if you like it, add some bleu cheese to a light cheddar. Tastes great. :)

Well, you can boil the pasta and then put it in a casserole dish and throw in lots of cheese, and parmigiana, and maybe some sour cream to add richness to it, and then crumble something crumbly on top like bread crumbs or something and bake it. Look up mac and cheese casserole dishes and then see what you can tweak to your liking.

It's also good re-fried in a pan afterwards for leftovers.

Oh, trust me, it'd work. It'd basically be a Mexican-Italian version of a http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/shepherds-pie-vi/Detail.aspx.

Fine, here's another. Take mac n' cheese, add sauerkraut, add sour cream, fry up some bacon or kolbasa and serve. Yum yum Ukrainian style.

I don't make the boxed stuff often, but when I make my own cheese sauce I sometimes add minced garlic or a flavorful meat like bacon and pancetta. With the boxed stuff I know a lot of people who add tuna although I'm not a fan of fish myself.

Make your own mac & cheese! It's yummy, and marginally better for you. ;) (My family's mac & cheese recipe is always my favorite...it involves sharp cheddar and fat-free cottage cheese and yogurt. Om nom nom.)

Ahem. In a pinch though, with the boxed stuff, I'd cook it up with some diced fresh tomatoes and some pepper. A little bit of garlic (fresh and minched, or garlic powder if you don't have any fresh) for flavor would be good, too. Throw in some chopped up, cooked ham or ground beef for some extra protein; mac & cheese & ham is a good combination.

I definitely wouldn't add any additional salt, since boxed mac & cheese tends to have a lot of it on its own. Experiment with some other spices for flavor instead.

Add ground beef and chili, or hot dogs and chili. Or just chili. Or just hot dogs. Or just ground beef. Damn. Maybe I'm just really hungry.

FTR, I hate mac and cheese, but my kids love it.
We ususally make it from boxed pasta and the sauce from scratch. My son likes to add cooked ground beef, salsa, and chili powder to leftovers.. My daughter, broccoli, and diced leftover chicken.

Am I the only one that loves box mac n cheese? No need to get fancy, boil it and 10 min later you've got an amazing snack.

Dump hot sauce in it.

Nah, I'm kidding, that's absurd.

The only mac and cheese I like is Stouffer's or homemade.
