MAKE MORRWIND FOR XBOX360

Post » Mon Sep 05, 2011 10:58 pm

I believe morrowind should be remade for the xbox360. The game was phenomenal and amazing, getting it with better graphics and better combat would be a huge thing in my opinion. I know this game was far better then oblivion, but the things that caught my attention in oblivion was its combat ability and the way the people moved in the game seemed less stiff then in morrowind. though over-all morrwind is the better one, i was thinking that since Skyrim will obviously be a huge and massive hit to people's gaming lives maybe a year or two from it they can remake morrowind but let us travel the whole morrowind providence. if you think this is a good idea say so and why, maybe what you think should be added, unchanged, changed or maybe rewritten. if you think this is a bad idea then say so and why it is a bad idea.

Bethesda shouldn't bother with re-making their games when the same time and money could be spent on making entirely new ones. We're not close to running out of provinces yet. ;)

This.

Skyrim will be awesome, but I'm waiting patiently for both Elsweyr and Summerset Isle!

For all we know, they'll move to a different continent... like Akavir.

I wouldn't mind it. I'd love to see all the classic locations in way greater detail.

No.

Consoles are the death of quality gaming. Consoles are breeding a new generation of mindless, linear-driven individuals with no ability for abstract thinking and/or complex problem solving. Everything has to have a compass with a magic marker telling you where to do, or quests so simple that 8 year olds would struggle to fail at them.

But not Morrowind. Yea, you get told to go to the Urshilaku Burial Caverns: you dont get given no damned compass or good directions. And even after nearly 10 years of playing it still takes you 10 minutes to find the damned cave entrance. THATS gaming. (true story, obviously. i can never remember where the cave is and the directions are rubbish, lol :celebration: )

Morrowind was the last RPG Bethesda made. Oblivion was a generic linear action game with little thought and too many Lore errors to ignore. And im qq-ing over the gut feeling that for all its prettiness, Skyrim is guna be much the same :/

If you want better graghics: download better graphics mods and textures. Easy.

I'm not sure that wondering around for 10 minutes trying to find a cave entrance defines gaming for anyone except you tbh.

As for the topic, why would they bother? Only Morrowind fans would buy it (and likely even some wouldn't, just because they like the original so much). If they work on a new game, everyone who likes the series would probably buy it. There's just no incentive for them to remake Morrowind, or ANY tes game.

Bethesda have never made a pure RPG. All of the Elder Scrolls games have been action/RPGs, including Morrowind.

And how was Morrowind any less linear than Oblivion? If we're talking about the main quests I'd say Oblivion was less linear then Morrowind. Morrowind's MQ had you progressing pretty linearly right through to the end. Oblivion's MQ at least allowed the player to gather reinforcements from towns around Cyrodiil in any order.
