Make Skyrim's release a holiday : V

I have never intentionally called off from work to play a video game. But with how excited I am about this game and how much I got lost playing Oblivion I think I might actually think about it this time. So are you requesting the release day off? I am going to wait to see if it gets pushed back and if I have time I will request that day off, or even call off sick.

I'm hoping that I have a job by then. Looking for months with no luck. I would love to do it but I never take days off.

Sweet! well not really for me. I work in retail, so no days off unless it's Christmas or Thanksgiving. Maybe it will be pushed back to Thanksgiving, ha...

Hopefully I'll actually be able to take the day off, but I seriously doubt it... ah, well.

And I'm fully aware that's not what the topic meant, but I think every country's government should declare the release day Skyrim Day and give everyone the day off. :biggrin:

I've already booked that day and the following week off as annual leave :thumbsup: Was hoping the Royal wedding could be scheduled then so I get a free bank holiday, but no such luck.

I've never taken off for a video game because it always seemed silly to me. But for Skyrim, I think you might as well call me "silly."

I plan to pre-order from Steam and install in advance, so it will likely unlock at 12:01, or whatever time it is released. It will be a sweet 3-day weekend if I can ask for the day off in advance. (11/11/11 is a Friday)

It seems like a inconvenient day of the week for release date (usually Tuesdays for games or DVDs), but I suppose retailers will be prepared in advance.

And depending if I have a job by than I won't be calling off, sure this is my fav game series of all time but even I wouldn't risk getting into trouble if someone found out about it somehow. O_o

But if I don't have a job than I am good cuz pretty sure my only class is on Monday

unfortunatly my standing with my employer isnt that great at the moment because of call outs and i have to basicly go a year without calling out again so unless i find a better job by then i wont be able to.... but maybe.... just maybe.... the gods will smile upon me and ill have the day off :bowdown:

Sorry can't vote in your poll. It is a holiday for me too, Veteran's Day. "The Man" won't let me work since the courthouse is closed.
