Make smart and sprint buttons separate.

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 3:56 am

Some of us like to do the smart manouvers manually, and the fact that the sprint button is the same as the smart button keeps getting in the way...

it also keeps getting in the way when you DONT want to do any parkour movements, like say when youre trying to run up some stairs and the smart function confuses that with you wanting to get on the railing of said stairs...

please make it so we can turn OFF smart movement and use the parkour stuff manually using jump and crawl buttons...

Tap the button instead of holding it, and it won't get in the way. Press it to start sprinting, and you'll keep going until you lose momentum (run into something, stop running, slide, etc.)

Even with the function to tap it, there should be an option to have them on separate buttons so you can hold sprint down and keep running with out having to worry about accidentally hitting something then your sprint stops.

I'd love to separate sprint and smart. I never use smart, I do all the jumping and sliding manually since it seems a lot more intuitive, and when I just tap sprint and accidentally vault over something I get real annoyed :\

Can you set Sprint and SMART to different buttons?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can on PS3 at least.

Can't you hold the button but still do it manually by just tapping jump or crouch?

For me i would like to know a convenient way to set up the controller so that you can Jump and Look at the same time, i find it annoying when i try and wall hop and twist my view, it just doesn't work
