As I traipse around the desolate tundra of Skyrim, I don't want to see pretty princesses running around with war hammers. At some point we have to admit that this game is not a doll house sim nor is it The Sims. Options are nice, but they can detract from the theme and tenor of the setting, and in this case, I think dolled-up NPCs would seem extremely out of place. Something tells me that makeup and the like are expensive commodities reserved for the ultra-wealthy. In a world like Skyrim, the average person doesn't have the leisure time for balls and parties to need makeup.
