Well, my only concern is how Ulysses looks, if they don't make him have dreads like he does on his card, I'm going to be miffed.

I wouldn't count on it. Remember Elijah? He didn't look anything near the hologram picture. They didn't even give him similar hair and beard (blastback and survivalist or something). I didn't understand it.

I did something pretty similar. Takes forever and the ultra slow reloading at first is mind crushing..

LVL: 35 / HP: 470 / AP: 95

S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

Strength: 9 (10 usually in Remnant PA)
Perception: 8 (9 with FR beret)
Endurance: 10
Charisma: 8 (9 with PA helmet)
Intelligence:10
Agility: 10 (Actually this stat is at about 30 with regards to holstering and reload speeds...)
Luck:10

Skills

Barter: 100
Energy weapons: 100
Explosives: 70 (75 with BM helmet for missile launcher etc)
Guns: 100
Lockpick: 100
Medicine: 70
Melee: 100
Repair: 100
Science: 100
Sneak: 90 (100 with Assassin Suit)
Survival: 66
Unarmed: 100

How the heck did you get to those stats?? Not one of your skills is below 60?!?! (Btw, you didn't include Speech). And a dual upgraded ED-E? Something's not right here...

Unarmed and Melee are very powerful in this game. I think ignoring them is a mistake.

That's just lazy IMO

@ Dedzlol- This is not CoD, we can build our character anyway we choose.

Since you're a Sniper, if you replaced Trigger Discipline (only useful for automatic weapons) with Fast Shot (the increase in weapon spread is miniscule), and Wild Wasteland with Built to Destroy, had a level 10 Endurance, a level 10 Luck, had one more Toughness perk, the Light Touch perk, the Rapid Reload perk, and switched to the Gauss Rifle or Anti Material Rifle, I might be a little worried and I dont even glitch.

I know you cant one shot the Legendary and Alpha Male Deathclaws on very hard. And I know you cant survive even one strike by them on very hard either. Not enough HP and DT. You gotta have atleast 470 HP and 42 DT, or maybe, just maybe 470 HP, the Assassin Suit, both Toughness perks, the Sub-dermal Armor perk, and the Light Touch perk. Not sure.

First off you do the Goodsprings level-up glitch, making sure you choose the right stats even on the setup you aren't going to keep. (So you can access the right perks, getting Light Touch and In Shining Armor as level 2 and 4 perks takes a little planning).

When you actually build your character you have to allow for the points that come from the skill books. (I used Comprehension to boost this, it pays offwhen you find all of the books.) You also have to allow for the extra points that come from the implants you buy to boost your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats.

Also if you want to get the best specials, you have to create a character that severely sacrifices AGI in the beginning, waiting to get to DM and the vending machine glitch before you can raise it. (You also have to allow for the extra points in guns and sneak that come from another 9 in your S.P.E.C.I.A.L AGI, 1 from implant, a further 8 from DM..)

My skills are all legit but it did indeed take a lot of planning and was pretty time consuming...

Dual upgrading ED-E is simple. All you have to do is apply the BoS upgrade to him, then take him across the raft to the Fort and when you leave he'll have lost a little inventory space but he will have gained the improved weapon also..

2 shot Lanius, one shot BoS Paladin (R.I.P.) NCR Ranger veterans require AP bullet to one shot, Any caessars legion 1 shot. The critical perks mixed with crouching and the correct type of bullet is almost always a one hit. oh and a gun with maxed condition helps.

It's really straightforward. complete ED-E my love by taking him to hidden Valley. Then after you get the mark of Caesar (or if you have neutral or better already, before you get the mark of Caesar) Go to Cottonwood Cove via the wood raft thing. Do what you need to do at the fort until you are able to leave. Once you leave and the message pops up saying that your equipment has been returned ED-E should have both upgrades.

It's really easy to tell if he's changed, he'll be making a sparking sound, like an overcharged weapon. (Sometimes he stops making this sound, to make him start again, and fire his alien blaster type weapon simply access his inventory and then quit back out.)

ED-E then uses both weapons, red laser at close range and weird ion-cannon thing at long and medium range. He does seem to fire a bit wildly when he fires the blaster though, but it sure is powerfull. Scary powerfull.. I watched and laughed when three DC's attacked my flying ball of death and all got curbstomped lmao

Using every exploit available and obtaining stockpiles of certain chems I have created my best build. The Sierra Madre Vending machine was a great help with the agility glitch and making infinite amounts of mentats and buffout.

SPECIAL after getting implants and using the agility glitch

S: 6
P: 6
E: 10
C: 3
I: 10
A: 10
L: 9

I have Rad Child which is highly underrated. I use buffout, Sierra Madre Martini and Alcohol whenever I am near an altercation or need the skill points to give myself 635 HP, max Strength and endurance even with the debuff from deadly rad poisoning for the +8hp/second, the agility debuff is taken care of by the agility glitch. I often use Cass as a companion for the +5 DT from whiskey, this also takes away the -2 Int from it. I also have a stockpile of Party Time Mentats that I can use to max charisma whenever I want stronger companions or need the skill points.
Perception is easily maxed with a combination of Boone's Beret, Coyote Tobacco chew and Mentats or Party time mentats.

With my SPECIAL maxed by drugs my skills are
Barter: 70
Energy Weapons: 100
Explosives: 100
Gun: 100
Lockpick: 100
Medicine: 70
Melee Weapons: 100
Repair: 91
Science:75
Sneak: 100
Speech: 94
Survival: 100
Unarmed: 100

Perks (Only putting selected perks from gaining levels)
And Stay Back
Better Criticals
Chemist
Comprehension
Confirmed Bachelor
Cowboy
Demolition Expert x 3
Educated
Elijah's Ramblings (important optional perk)
Finesse
Hand Loader
Heavyweight
Here and Now
Jury Rigging
Laser Commander
Life Giver
Light Touch
Living Anatomy
Ninja
Old World Gourmet
Pack Rat
Piercing Strike
Purifier
Pyromaniac
Rad child
Shotgun Surgeon
Slayer
Stonewall
Strong Back
Super Slam
Toughness x 2
Vigilant Recycler

I am not a big user of VATS so I took some perks for convenience purposes and I took here and now at level 12 so I could gain levels and slowly build and enjoy the second half of my character.

I took Built to Destroy and Kamikaze as my traits since they involve minor losses for decent gains. I also wear the Sierra Madre Reinforced armor, Boone's Beret and Lucky Shades.

I actually wasted a few skill points on this build, not that it really matters. Some by accident and some for convenience. I put Explosives and Energy weapons to 98 so they'd be maxed with just Boone's Beret. I put 4 too many into Guns because I thought I had 3 skill books already when it was only 2. I forgot about the sixth Lockpick Skill Book and I also have 1 random skill book left to find after I thought I would have them all which I don't plan on tracking down. With those 24 wasted skill points I could have had all my skills maxed from another 5 levels.

Cliff Notes:
From the use of chems and exploits I can easily walk around with a maxed SPECIAL, 635 HP with +8hp/sec, 1200 skill points, 105 AP, 31(36 with a melee weapon) DT with Light armor and the maximum possible Crit%. All without Intense Training.

Long Read but this build is killer, After sinking ~60 hrs into this play through and taking on the toughest areas of the game I had used only 40 Stimpaks and most of those went towards healing my limbs rather than my HP. This is also mostly machine guns and melee weapons, not sneaking and sniping.
