Makeup Kit

Post » Sat Aug 27, 2011 10:35 am

It'd be like the skillbooks boosting certain skills, but unlike skillbooks the duration isn't fixed.

Also it makes your character face look a certain way.

It tends to have a shorter duration when the player is running or engaged in combat because of the sweat produced.

Let me give you some examples.

Camouflage Makeup Kit- Increases Sneak, Guns, and Energy Weapons

War Paint- Increases Melee and Unarmed

Perfume/Cologne- Increases Barter and Speech

Sounds pretty cool and feasible, yes?

What?

It is just another status effect item.

Besides it isn't so outrageous that it should only be limited to WW.

Whether paint my face or not I will not be able to use an axe or punch somebody any better.

It is bizarre and just an all around bad idea, no offense intended.

Well it isn't like there is a variable in the game that determines how much the enemies are afraid of you. Is there?

Because if there is maybe it could increase the chance that enemies will attempt to flee and not fight back after a few kills by the player.

That would make a lot more sense for a war paint makeup as it is suppose to strike fear or at least mess around with the enemy's head.

Some war paint is just for show, I wouldn't be intimidated by somebody with paint all over their face. With that logic somebody could stop people from mugging them just by painting weird patterns on their face.

And why does camoflauge increase small guns and energy weapons?

Well I'm just tossing ideas around. The camo makeup probably doesn't need the weapons boost.

Also devs probably have a better idea and experience.

BTW some things are considered Acceptable Breaks From Reality.

Yes, Holograms and Laser Rifles are "Acceptable Breaks From Reality" in the Fallout Series. Not makeup or cologne.

It is, food and drink keeps you alive in reality but camoflauge doesn't make you better at using guns and war paint doesn't make you better at punching people.

You should add a poll to see my point on how popular it would be.

Well the status effects are just subject to change.

I'm just saying that this kind of status effect item could work.

I don't expect my numbers to be applied and I don't expect Bethesda to actually include it in the game.

I just don't see it working or being popular among fans or Bethesda's team.

It didn't seem that bad in my head.

Think about it more. Otherwise your gonna start a Flame War. Trust me. I've known enough Trolls. (No I'm not calling you a troll.)
