Making a Ascadian Isles tree adder

Post » Tue Jun 08, 2010 9:52 am

I'm thinking of making a tree/plants adder for the AI region. I want to make it as compatible as possible with other, big, mods.

Which ones should i download? Other suggestions are welcome too, especially if you're good at the editor and have any special tricks that a newbie might not know of, especially when it comes to placing stuff..

Edit:

Mods i will NOT use/make it compatible with: mods that alters the height of the landscape, mods that adds trees.

Would the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6000 help? It looks like it will give you an idea of what mods affect which exterior cells. Maybe too much info :)

The easiest, i think, is just to load up all those big mods into the editor when doing the mod.

Mods that really alters the landmass (height of it) i wont/cant use, because that would make it depend on that mod.

Would be nice to have Weeping Willows around. The only tree mod I've ever used is Vibrant Trees 2.0, I don't remember anymore if it added trees or replaced some of the default trees though  Mostly I avoid things that add new trees (even grass) as they give me horrible incompatibilities. Vality's grass grew right up and over the Rose Cottage for example turning the sun dappled little glade into a dark underhill barrow which wasn't easy to fix.
