Making a follower out of any NPC using console commands

Post » Sat May 19, 2012 8:48 pm

For those of you who don't know her, Anska is a pretty powerful fire mage ecountered in a dungeon quest, "A scroll for Anska". She's a capable sneak character, too. I'd like to have her as a follower but, using the methods I know, I wasn't able so far to make it happen.

I've tried to force her companion dialogues via the console:

setrelationshiprank 14 3

addtofaction 5c84d 3

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. The dialogue option never comes up being overridden by some generic ramble you can ask her at the end of the mission. I tried getting her ID and spawning a clone... no results.

Doesn anybody knows a way in which I could turn a quest NPC or, at least, a clone of him into a companion?

its a shame she doesn't offer you her services as a form of payment, like some of the other dungeon guys.

Short of messing with console commands you could try to make a esp and add things you want and mess about with them in that way using something like http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4554 There are many follower plugs using this tool made on the nexus Mostly becuase the NPC wanted is unable to be forced into felloship with the use of console due to what ever reasons.

It's possible the NPC is using a unique voice or something like that. More importantly, they're likely using dialog blockers, i.e. a greeting that acts like a goodbye. It prevents the player from talking to the NPC in any way shape or form. Brynjolf is a wonderful example of this, with his famous, "Sorry lad/lass, I've got more important things to do..." That's his greeting once you get to a certain point in the Thieves Guild quest line, and as I said, it prevents the player from talking to him. So forcing a character with this sort of thing to talk to you is gonna be downright difficult, if not impossible without the Creation Kit.
