Ophelia is quite hot, but what race is she?

She is a Breton. I made an effort to make her look like "the girl next door" with brown hair, brown eyes, relatively simple hairsytle etc...

Now that you mention girl next door, she looks remarkably like Kirsten Dunst in Spiderman 1.

Oh that's what it is! I knew there was something about those drug addict eyes that just didn't appeal to me.

They do look very nice! Are those actually made in Oblivion using the sliders? They look very...photoshopped and polished. And I'm not sure those poses are standard Oblivion either?

Thanks Phoss! Yep! I didn't even use the construction set! (which has an infinitely better face gen tool) Just lots of mods and good lighting! Like i said, the human girl is actually a Nord and, of course, Nala is an Ohmes Raht! Nah, pose mods! :)

Questions for all those that mod: Is it just as hard as using the sliders to make a good-looking character? Or does it get any easier? Do they come pre-made?

Some mods alter the original races to make them a bit easier to work with. But doing that also screws up all vanilla characters! (ie those in the original game)

I suggest using custom races such as Cute Elves, or Raven Elves.

Or alternately you can make your own custom race like i did! :)

Yes, it can be easier with mods, as most custom races start with decent looking default faces and have head meshes that are easier to manipulate (Head06 or Rens). But even then, it's more about know which sliders affect what and how that can affect the rest of the face.

:D But just make sure it can handle it! Oblivion is quite old, but with a lot of mods, it can still be pretty tough on a weak computer!

Yes this is true imo, and Holy Assassin your character faces are already near perfect unmodded as is.

Lighting can be used to as much effect in Oblivion as real life, I find a strong indoor light effect from the torch staves in mods like OOO..
combined with good shading and light spells / torches, can add to the faces beauty to a good extent.

Holy Assassin, if your guys are freaking hot with just vanilla Oblivion I imagine your modded guys to be so hot they will make my face melt do to the hotness lol.

Liking everyones pics, but I can't really judge on female beauty.

Thanks for the appreciation. :P I think you're spot-on about the lighting comment. It can make a huge difference, in both real life, and Oblivion. In real-life, most people (like me for example) look much better under incandescent light. Same with Oblivion, people look better near a torch, rather than a Light spell.

*Takes a humble bow*

I appreciate your confidence in me, I promise I won't disappoint. :D

Edit: I may have to take tips from death-knowz and AshleyChan though. They're both amazing.

I'd hate for you to do what i did: Buy a decent laptop (nothing special) and then come to find out it won't even go... *sigh* Glad to have a separate Gaming Rig though! :D

Yeah, forgot to comment: what you did was pretty astonishing for vanilla! I can't make anything look good in vanilla! :P

Awwww! Thanks Holy Assassin!

Oh, I've made sure the laptop Im getting has the recommended requirements for Oblivion. Don't worry about me. :P

Also, thanks for the compliment. :)

But seriously though, the characters I've seen by you, and death-knowz are unbelievable. If I make a character half as good looking, I would be satisfied. Especially 2, 4, and 6, by death-knowz and Ashley by you. Those pics were mind-blowing, I might keep a print-out in my wallet. :P
