making a marker object to use for teleportation

How do I go about making a marker object to use to as part of a teleportation script? Do I need a script for the marker object itself? Is there an example of such a script for the marker object if one is needed?

I know the idea is to create two objects - one item to be used essentially to mark a spot in the gameworld and the other an item that has a script to locate that marker object in order to do other things. The marker object needs to be an NPC or creature so that MWSE game scripts can determine its position coordinates x, y, z, angle AND its cell name location and those values can then be used in a script.

So far, I've used TESCS to make a new creature as a marker object, but it attacks me when I use the console to bring it to my char. I haven't worked out the kinks in the item I use to teleport; I thought it'd be simpler to make the marker object and then focus on the other item, but it hasn't worked out that way :( I've read a comment or two mentioning using enable/disable on an object using console commands but no real example of why and how it is used in a script.
