Making NPCs not start conversations with specific NPCs so mu

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 5:13 pm

I have a problem currently, in which all the NPCs in the world love to start up a conversation with my companions. Despite this actually being kinda cool, it goes a little overboard. I can be in a room with 4 NPCs, and they will keep coming over to my companions and chatting. Then another will. Then another. It is basically endless. They seem to be chosing my companions over each other as far as conversation targets go.

Is there a way to make them talk to each other more? Or perhaps to stop talking to my companions at all? I currently can't think of a way.

If you check the 'skip fallout behaviour' box in someone's AI packages he won't initiate any conversations with anyone, or even greet them. And nobody will talk to him either. I don't know if there's any way to tone it down without eliminating it entirely.

Now where do I know your username from...

Edit: Oh right. The UMP and the Amazing, Wonderful and Spectacular (and slightly outdated :P) texture pack comparison page!

Yeah, I clicked the Skip Fallout Behaviour box shortly after posting. But I'd still like them to be in conversations sometimes... I might just script their conversations.

Ah yes, the two things I actually finished. Always good to be remembered (especially considering the mind-numbing hours that went into the patch). Hoping for my next release sometime this year. It's a slightly bigger undertaking.
