I installed your mod for the first time Nich and I have to say it makes a real difference to the immersion, it really does not stand out, which I want to point out is a good thing! Unfortunately now what does stand out is everything else in the game, right now I am walking around and noticing every seam and every stretched texture on all the unmodified models, from buildings to the ugly rocks on those short stone walls. But every time I see one of your modified rocks I stop and walk around it five or six times having a good look.
Between this Plangkye's Telvanni, you thinking of fixing trees and Connarys Texture Compendium in the future I am quite excited about Morrowind again these days.
hmmmm, never thought of it that way . now that you say it not standing out is exactly what i should be aiming for . i do find myself not playing at times and just looking around and enjoying the new meshes .
i am looking forward to Plagkye's telvanni textures . my trial attempt was to just see what could be done . but i don't realy spend much time around the telvanni towers . i hate the insides since the PC is so tall and make moving thru them difficult . also don't like that when the PC walks inside the screen bumps up and down on the inside root ribs . think a better collision node needs to be in there . think i just got a little off topic there .
also read where Linora is working on a similar project for the imperial UVs . with more people now noticing the differences with better UV maps i am hoping more mods will take up the cause and fix everything in morrowind .
Lookin' good Nich!
Are you also planning to do rocks for Tribunal & Bloodmoon?
thx . as for tribunal and bloodmoon , i am not sure when i will get to those rocks . have not looked to see how many rocks are in those regions . i think i would like to work on the morrowind trees first unless these regions don't have so many meshes .
Such a small thing, but such a HUGE improvement. Thank you for this.
glad you like it . it is not as small a thing as you might think and i thought when i started this mod . there are 366 rock meshes (not including lava vents , lava pits and misc boulders) with over 44,000 ingame placements . release 05 includes 279 meshes with about 32,000 ingame placements . puts the project at about 75% done .
Thx for continuing with putting so much effort into this! It?s highly appreciated, will dl the new version now
thx , glad everyone is liking it so far .
if anyone does see something that is not exacly right please let me know . editing , scaling and looking at these ingame makes me go a little blind at times .
