Making Sammiches in Skyrim

It would be nice to have a feature like that of New Vegas to cook things at a campfire. If not, I'll just have to imagine that my beef potion really is beef stew or a roast beef sandwich.

well i sure as hell dont think they should make a "sammich"... whatever that is.

those items should make a SANDWICH, though.

then again, you gotta remember whats being done with the items in the alchemy sets... you're grinding them to dust with the mortar & pestle to start with... after that, you can only mix the ingredients into liquids and create potions.

or would you prefer an actual SANDwich?

Overpowered! OVERPOWERED!!!

If we do that then EVERYONE will play female characters! The poor male characters will be thrown down the drain! EQUALITY, I BEG YOU, GOOD FOLKS!

I don't even know how they could allow female players in the game. How are you going to slay monsters from the kitchen?

What the hell is a sammich?

From the Urban Dict:

A sammich is a type of sandwich. However, it is not just any kind of sandwich. Any old schmuck can throw lunchmeat between two slices of bread and have a sandwich.

But no. A sammich is not just a sandwich, it is not just a meal. Sammich is a term reserved for only the holiest and mightiest of all sandwiches. A sammich is a true work of culinary art; a feast on a bun, if you will. A sammich is not made of the best ingredients; it is made of the *right* ingredients. It needs the right meats, and the right cheese(s), the right sauce, the right veggies, and the right kind of bread.

Taking footlong sub bread and throwing every kind of meat and cheese and everything else under the sun or in your kitchen pantry on it does not a sammich make. It is akin to an incohesive mishmosh of colors on an artist's easel.

Sandwiches make a good snack, but sammiches are forever.

I totally agree with you here! It was okay in Morrowind where most of the alchemical ingredients didn't look too edible to begin with, but it was just strange to be mashing bread and cheese into a drink.

How about something akin to a medicinal paste or powder? I think that could work well. :)

Actually the main thing I wondered about is where I suddenly got those hundreds of bottles from.

It would be nice if your pc's house servant can offer sammiches as well instead of just sheppie pies. She should also ask you what you want on your sammich: "good evening ma' lord, can I interest you in a delicious...SAMMY!?". "Why yes, imp gall, a cheese wedge and lettuce would be perfect"

Eating the sammy should also grant you invincibility for 90 seconds and strength + 10 for 120 seconds. You also get immediately ressurected upon death thanks to the sammich.

What the hell is wrong with placing the bread, cheese, meat, and veggies together, then ingesting it? If we could toss melons at hams in Oblivion in a game of mock bowling, we can most certainly dogpile sandwich fixins. I know in Morrowind, I could eat foodstuffs and obtain alchemical bonuses from them like restoring fatigue.
Potions were another matter. I made those to sell for $$$$$$$.
Also, I'll be damned if I make anyone a sandwich in Skyrim. I am pretty sure my time will be otherwise occupied killing, fighting, looting, and pillaging. WIth the shinbones of dead nords who asked me to make them a sandwich.

I showed my girl this and I got smacked for some reason... But she made me a sammich in apology so it's all good. I felt this was sig worthy by the way, because I tell her to make me sammiches all the time

I suppose in game, they are potions because alchemy was basically adding water to a bunch of crap in your bowl and crushing the hell out of it

I know when we make potions, it all has the same look as a bottle in Oblivion. I thought it was odd when I combine bread, cheese, lettuce, tomato, flax seeds (since we got no sesame seeds), venison (lol), etc. = A BOTTLE. This should make a sammich. I should see a sammich in my inventory. What I'm saying is, not everything we make should be in drinkable form. There should at least be solids with some kind of look that, of course would work like a potion. Then again it would be a lot of work unless they showed it in a generic form.

You did mash everything w/ a mortar and pestle. Watered down purees. . .that's what potions are.
