You did mash everything w/ a mortar and pestle. Watered down purees. . .that's what potions are.

Thats why campfires (new vegas style) were suggested.

Also, I'll be damned if I make anyone a sandwich in Skyrim. I am pretty sure my time will be otherwise occupied killing, fighting, looting, and pillaging. WIth the shinbones of dead nords who asked me to make them a sandwich.

I'm sure whatever Faction you join, your first mission will be making a sammich for somebody. Get to work!

I know when we make potions, it all has the same look as a bottle in Oblivion. I thought it was odd when I combine bread, cheese, lettuce, tomato, flax seeds (since we got no sesame seeds), venison (lol), etc. = A BOTTLE. This should make a sammich. I should see a sammich in my inventory. What I'm saying is, not everything we make should be in drinkable form. There should at least be solids with some kind of look that, of course would work like a potion. Then again it would be a lot of work unless they showed it in a generic form.

I don't wanna see sammiches in Skyrim... Sangwhiches, on the other hand, would be tight...

Im sure the Nords make hearty sandwhiches...

Besides, it (in my world at least) warrants a new skill, which is a great idea for customization, at least to me.

On a more serious note, I do think that being able to combine ingredients to make a meal would be a good thing to implement into gameplay.

On a more serious note, making solid foods (not just liquids) should be implemented, at the very least the ability to roast meat over a fire.

Actually for playing Runescape for about 20 minutes it had a decent crafting system.

Runescape is garbage can't believe I wasted 6 months with it, and I know about teh sammiches and the lack of them in TES, since I've been playing TES for the past 5 years...

Anyways, on topic, why should we stop at amazing sammiches? Why can't we create other incredible edible things... like burgers. Well I guess burgers could be included in the sammich category. In fact, every delicious food I can think of could be related to the category of sammiches in some fashion, so I guess that means sammiches are all we need.
