Making a Thief Role Play

Post » Sat Apr 13, 2013 3:19 am

Hello guys,

Whats up? Hope you're having a good friiday night.
I want to make a pure thief, and add roleplaying to it. Any suggestions? I don't really want to be an Argonion of Khajiit, because i want to be a discreet thief. I'll be an argonion IF i have to. Help/suggestions please.

Thanks guys, Peace!

Maybe for calm. But certainly you need the Invisibility spell.

Why not? A thief should use any method to his advantage. Calm and fear will give him much needed breathing space.

Archery, sneak(backstab perk) with daggers. As a thief, you avoid conflict. Worst comes to worst, subterfuge is the best course of action. Illusion spells manipulate the mind. Archery gives you distance combat. Daggers for close range sneak attacks. Try to avoid confrontational melee combat.

But, i don't want to fall in line with an assassin or a Nightblade.

Best races for a thief/assaasin is Khajiit and Imperial (imperial because of imperial luck and voice of the emperor.)

1. Pickpocket is the fastest way to get rich, once you get the perk for stealing gold is easier, you can pay for training for smithing and then picpocket your training money back (don't reload, that's cheating ! it ruins the fun of being a thief)

2. Never reload, if you get caught, bribe the guard and pickpocket your money back, if you fail too pickpocket, run away because they won't accept another bribe.

3. Use all that money you make towards training in smithing and enchanting, why break your back working these skills when you can just pay for it? Your ultimate goal should be to get a Daedric bow with paralyze or fire enchant on it and maybe craft a ring and necklace for archery.

4. Guildmaster armor is awesome, it's worth becoming guildmaster for it. Linwe's armor is nice too until you can get it.

5. Hotkey your invibility potions. Illusion spells are for stealthy mages, your a thief damn it, make potions. And its much more effective at making a getaway because you can SWALLOW A POTION WHILE DOING A KILL SLIT THROAT MOVE, allowing you to not get caught.

6. Once you finish the thieves guild and milked them for everything, you are ready to graduate to the Dark Brotherhood. Keep calm and hail Sithis.

7. The Nightingale Subterfuge power is very good, use it

8. You need to make fortify marksman potions for taking out dragons, also combine poison of lingering damage health too. Hotkey them if you have too.

9. Blade of Woe is the most powerful dagger in the game, remember that, it has the same damage as a dragonbone dagger. Mehrunes Razor is powerful man, I killed the ebony warrior with one strike with it.

10. Watch my videos. I'm one of the best.

Well then, just sneak behind them, take or do what you need, and sneak out.

The dual-wielding power attack with daggers is pretty. So use them. Plus you have a higher chance of an assassination with daggers.

They are one in the same as far as I am concerned, unless you just want to steal 24/7. If your killing people through stealth, your an assassin, just face it.

Ok, I see you are dedicated to being a thief. Pickpocket then should be your skill of choice. Fastest way to make money in Skyrim by far.

Is killing people with pocket poisons viable?

Yes it is very viable. If you max out alchemy through enchanting, it is very viable. I do it all the time. Watch my videos.

Yes it would, unless he used paralyze poisons.
