Making things bloody?

It's me again :shakehead:

I've searched the CS wiki and the forums to no avail... I'd like to make blood drip down walls for my Eternal Darkness mod, but I'm quite sure that's not going to happen. I would at least like to find a way to "place" blood at an activator or something like that. Is there some kind of simple function that I'm not seeing?

To have blood stream down a wall, you could give the wall something of an animated texture or something. I know there's a tutorial in the CS wiki that teaches how to create such animations. I've never done it, so I can't help you with it. Alternatively, there are several static blood meshes in the CS which you can use to make things bloody. Or apply a different wall texture with blood in it to the wall mesh you're using. You can use Nifscope for that or a simple texture replacing utility. There's also a dripper in the CS, which dops a drop now and then from a great height. I can't find its location right now, but I know it's there. Good luck!

Use a magic shader. There are several mods (DR is the first that comes to mind) that use apply a blood shader to the player/corpses when wounded. Try and find one of them, I'm pretty sure I've seen it as a resource somewhere. Then use an area of effect spell that gets each reference and use pms (PlayMagicShader) to put the blood shader on the object.

By the way, that is an awesomely cool idea! :D
