Making your own voices - Audacity

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:35 am

Hey, Forum guys!

I've just installed Audacity and want to make a voice. How exactly do I make this and get it into my wonder-game Oblivion? I've already made the NPC in TES CS.

Any help?

These should help:

http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Audacity:Voice_Acting_Workshop_I (teaches you what to do in Audacity)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13742 (resources and instructions for getting the sounds in-game)

Have fun! :D

Okay, now I have made the voice in Audacity, I've saved it inside a folder and I've exported the sound to a folder... I've also downloaded the LIP Template. But I still don't see how to get the sound file into TES CS and so on. Please explain further.

You'll probably want to use the http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36370 to generate lip files since the CS 1.2 can't do it.

Has anyone written a good explanation of how to add the CS 1.0 content for lip-sync without un-installing CS 1.2 first? (Even if it involves installing 1.0 on another machine, and copying files across).

This helped me a lot and explains everything very clearly.

Basically you can use a universal extractor to unpack the CS 1.0 installer, and then just copy the .exe and LSData folder out of it. Or you can install it right on top of the current CS, rename the .exe, and then re-install the current CS again on top of it. I've done both. :turned:
