I have a pre-ordered LE copy of Crysis 2 disc and all so no this is not a torrent or bootleg.

I was bummed to get the message I can't play till 2:00pm of March 22 after I installed my game about 30 mins ago. Then I had to do something, came back to my PC then for the heck of it, clicked on the Crysis2 Launcher. The game DL'ed something saying its patch 1.1. Then it patched when I get a message saying it has Malware in it...WTH EA?

Anyone else getting this crap?

using AVG? AVG and Avira had problems with the demo, you might want to try and update your definitions

I updated the definitions of AVG...still getting it. If its an AVG problem then I'm ok with that. I would just like to know if anyone else is getting this?

Yep. I'm using Avast and the patch got through without any problems.

just ignore it.

heur is short for heruristic which is a term used by anti virus programs so say that a file contains or acts in a manner that virus's sometime act in most likly its the patch installer program itself.

this can commonly happen with patching and or keygen programs its just a generic warning and 99% is a false positive.

just disable the antivirus untill the patch has been installed then scan the game directory then you should find that the virus is still only present in the patch file.
