Maybe I'm a noob but I cannot even get close to this guy without him or his dremora buddy 2 shotting me with a fireball spell. Is there a good strategy for this guy?? It seems like the Mage bosses in this game are the only ones that kick my butt. Magic is underpowered? Ha!! Whoever said that needs to get their brain examined. Anyway, I am a warrior/archer build.. Some tips would be nice! Thanks in advance!

I took him and his buddies out as a mage. If you have access to a level 3 Unrelenting Force things become simple because if you Shout them they will fall down the stairs and probably die. I don't recall if you can shout him off of the stairs completely, though... huh. Now I'm curious.

I went straight for him and killed him asap, had to use whirlwind sprint to get to him quick. then i just used heals until i was rescued by azura / that mage guy

Long-range battle with the Dremora. Shoot them and cover behind crystals.

When they're gone, charge Varen.

I used ligthing storm, they are deadra afterall

I cannot get into a long-range battle because they come running towards me like crazy and casting fireballs at the same time. There's no way to dodge them since I'm stuck on a narrow passageway. H?LP!
