Mankar and the Dynasty?

In oblivion it is mentioned that Mankar Camoran comes from a different line of kings to the Septims. Is this the Camoran Dynasty?

The way I understand it is Mankar is the son of the Camoran Usurper, who may or may not actually be in the camoran line. Some say he is, some say maybe not.

I personally don't believe he is. The Camorans were Bosmer if I remember correctly and Mankar is no Bosmer.

No, the Camorans were Ayleids exiled in Valenwood, IIRC.

.....and ayleids are known as the Heartland High Elves. Mankar Camoran is an Altmer. Im starting to see connections here.
And I suppose that if his dad was a power-craving lunatic then it would explain some of Mankar's behaviour.

Camoran dynasty may include altmeric blood as well as ayledic and bosmeric, I think. And there is nothing impossible that there are can even be bloodline of some Septim bastard - cyrodilic emperors from time to time made marrige with women from aristocratic clans of elves, like Ra'athim or Direnni.

Esteemed Serjos,

The issue of why Mankar Camoran could wear the Amulet of Kings has oftentimes been simplified into replying that he came from "another" line of kings, usually from the Camoran Dynasty and/or the Camoran Usurper.

But is that necessarily the correct explanation? "Look you to blood for truth? There is truth in blood, but it is not the truth that you seek!" (http://www.imperial-library.info/tsoo/kotn01a.shtml)

I shall present several quotes below, taken from various sources, and ask the reader what he or she makes of them when applied to what it takes to become "Emperor" or king of the world, such that the Amulet of Kings will hang from their neck. To begin...

I believe that Mankar became worthy to wear the Amulet of Kings because he was, in a sense, the ruler of the world while wearing it.

But wait a minute, how is that, you ask? Because Mankar was the ruler of Gaiar Alata, and Gaiar Alata and Tamriel were beginning to be one place. Observe:

"...In the Paradise that I created? Look now upon my Paradise. Gaiar Alata, in the old tongue. A vision of the past... and the future. ... Behold the Savage Garden, where my disciples are tempered for a higher destiny: to rule over Tamriel Reborn. ... Lift your eyes to Carac Agaialor, my seat at the pinnacle of Paradise. ... The walls between our worlds are crumbling. The Mythic Dawn grows nearer with every rift in the firmament. Soon, very soon, the lines now blurred will be erased. Tamriel and Oblivion rejoined! ... The Mythic Age reborn! Lord Dagon shall walk Tamriel again. ... My long duel with the Septims is over, and I have the mastery. The Emperor is dead. The Amulet of Kings is mine." (http://www.imperial-library.info/tsoo/tsoo14.shtml)

"We mortals leave the dreaming-sleeve of birth the same, unmantled save for the symbiosis with our mothers, thus to practice and thus to rapprochement, until finally we might through new eyes leave our hearths without need or fear that she remains behind. In this moment we destroy her forever and enter the demesne of Lord Dagon. ... "Know that then you are royalty, a new breed of destroyer... Our Order is based on the principles of his mighty razor: Novitiate, Questing Knight, Chaplain, and Master. ... That I mention it at all is testament to your new rank, my child." (http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/mythic_dawn_commentaries.shtml#1) ... Whisper to earth and earth, where the meddlers take no stones except to blood, as blood IS blood, and to the cracking of bone, as bone IS bone, and so to crack and answer and fall before the one and one, I call you Dragon as brother and king." (http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/mythic_dawn_commentaries.shtml#1) The Dragon's Blood have hidden ascension in six-thousands years of aetherial labyrinth, which is Arena, which they yet deny is Oathbound. ... He that enters Paradise enters his own Mother. (http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/mythic_dawn_commentaries.shtml#1)

Now couple these two quotes together:

1. "[Akatosh] is generally considered to be the first of the Gods to form in the Beginning Place." (http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/varietiesoffaith.shtml)

2. "You knew her as Paravant, given to her when crowned, 'first of its kind', by which the gods meant a mortal worthy of the majesty that is killing-questing-healing..." (http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/adabala.shtml)

3. "As you shall stand witness for all Mortal Flesh, so shall I stand witness for all Immortal Spirits.' This shall also be a token to you of our joined blood and pledged faith. So long as you and your descendants shall wear the Amulet of Kings, then shall this dragonfire burn..." (http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/trials_st_alessia.shtml)

4. "I AM CYRODIIL COME, he said, Old Reman, born from the earth that IS Al-Esh. The Al-Esh is near! Mother of the Empire! She weeps for fallen Cyrod and all her children that call it home for truly she is the mother to us all! Where are the men who can walk in her steps? In whose blood has the dragon taken purchase? Alessia! Reman! Talos! They cry for blood akin to theirs to rekindle the dragonpact! You study ancient genealogies and bloodlines. Look you to blood for truth? There is truth in blood, but it is not the truth that you seek!" (http://www.imperial-library.info/tsoo/kotn01a.shtml)

I apologize for the disorganized flow of this post. I will attempt to re-do it later. Until then, I remain...

Yours in the Scrolls,
