Mankar Camoran: Altmer or Bosmer?

Post » Tue Nov 05, 2013 10:55 am

In Oblivion there was a book called the refugees in which it talks about a bastard son fathered by Haymon Camoran (the Camoran Usurper) and his Bosmer mistress named Mankar, but the Mankar we see in Oblivion appearss as an Altmer. So the question is do you guys think Mankar is the usurpers son or not? I don't think it's a coincidence that both of them had some sort of Daedric connection and the fact that the book that I mentioned appears in places you will definitely go to during the main questline.

Its hard to take a Bosmer in Oblivion seriously...though, same could be said for just about everyone aside from Dagon. I'm sure the case could be made for one or the other, though I'm partial to Bosmeri Mankar myself.

He was made Altmer because they didn't think they could make a Bosmer into a menacing villain.

Yea I've heard from people that Bosmer appearance is one of the reasons and I'm inclined to believe that though I thought there might be some other explanation.
